Why choose this course?

This course provides a route onto the Masters programme of your choice. It will provide you with the necessary skills and understanding to prepare you for Masters courses, whilst also providing English language support if you need help in this area. You will also study a module from your desired course for which you will be accredited if you carry onto the main Masters courses.

What happens on the course?

You will study Masters Learning (an advanced study skills module), and either one module from your desired masters course or an English Language module if you do not meet IELTS 6.00 entry requirement is not met.

  1. Analyse the different approaches and techniques that facilitate detailed study at the postgraduate level in business and management issues.
  2. Evidence readiness, suitability and skills for Masters level study in business.

Entry requirements

The Masters Entry Programme is suitable for:

  • Students who have a third class honours classification
  • Students who may have been out of Higher Education for some time (e.g. a manager for two years in India and who wishes to do an MBA but has no HE study experience during that period)
  • Students who do not quite meet the University’s English competence standards (IELTS 6.0)

These fees are applicable for new entrants in 2016/7. Fees are for the academic year only, any subsequent years may be subject to an annual increase, usually in line with inflation.

Most charities and trust funds offer limited bursaries targeted to specific groups of students so you will need to research whether any of them are relevant to your situation.

University Postgraduate Loyalty Discount: The University also offers a postgraduate loyalty discount (http://www.wlv.ac.uk/study-here/money-matters/financial-support/postgraduate-study/postgraduate-loyalty-discount/): If you have completed an undergraduate degree at the University of Wolverhampton, you may be eligible for a 20% discount on the first year of a taught postgraduate programme.
